About Me

I believe that providing the best patient care is not only being able to identify and deliver the best medical and surgical treatments for a condition, but also to foster an environment of open communication. With open dialogue, I can work together with patients to determine a treatment plan that fits in with their needs and respects their quality of life.

Dr. Shaffer received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University. He later completed his medical degree from Weill-Cornell Medical College in New York, NY. Dr. Shaffer finished his internship and residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia, PA. He brings The Oregon Clinic Westside Ear, Nose & Throat many honors and awards, including the Harris Prize for Academic and Extracurricular Excellence from Harvard University.
 
Other Interests: 

During his spare time, Dr. Shaffer enjoys electric guitar and spending time with his wife and three sons.
