Oscar Polo MD, FACOG

After completing his medical degree and residency in Family Practice at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Polo became board certified in Family Practice. He followed this with a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Polo joined Obstetrics & Gynecology East in 1993. Since then he has been active with administration duties at Providence Portland Medical Center. He was formerly the head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology and Pediatrics Department and has been a member of the Executive Committee and The Quality Assurance Committee of the hospital.

Dr. Polo is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with interests in high-risk obstetrics, menopausal gynecology, and microinvasive pelvic surgery. Dr. Polo has particular interests in pelvic reconstructive surgery for patients with pelvic prolapse and urinary incontinence. He is a member of the American UroGynecology Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopic Surgeries.

Originally from Peru, Dr. Polo is fluent in Spanish and appreciates cultural diversity. While not working, he enjoys church activities, hiking, and music.
