Dr. Michael Mazzotta focused his practice on pediatrics thanks to the wide variety of experiences he gets to navigate and the joy that comes from engaging children and interacting with them every day. He feels it’s a privilege to watch his patients grow and develop over the years while helping them navigate the milestones and concerns that arrive with each stage of life.
Dual training in pediatrics and internal medicine gives Dr. Mazzotta a distinct advantage when it comes to recognizing how adult health conditions can begin to emerge toward the end of childhood. He has a special interest in fostering the transition of children into independent young adults and feels fortunate to continue caring for his young adult patients to see firsthand the people they grow up to become.
Portland’s scenery, climate, and endless opportunities to get outside are a great fit for Dr. Mazzotta and his family. He enjoys the community and the ease of finding others who are up for an adventure. Outside of the office, Dr. Mazzotta stays active through running, ultimate frisbee, hiking, and spending time in nature. He likes to play games and get outside with his family, and loves coaching his sons’ teams and being involved wherever he can.
