Dr. Hilary R. Basco was inspired to go into medicine by her father, a pediatric endocrinologist, and knew early on that pediatrics was the right path for her. Her calling was further supported by opportunities to study and volunteer abroad alongside healthcare providers in Nepal, Kenya, New Zealand, and Guatemala. Those experiences deepened her commitment to providing quality, evidence-based care for children. 

Dr. Basco considers it a privilege to care for kids and their families every day, following them from birth all the way into young adulthood. She genuinely loves her work and feels lucky to have found a specialty that brings her so much joy as she gets to know patients and their families. 

Portland’s vibrant mix of art, music, and culture, combined with the easy access to the great outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, makes this the ideal city for Dr. Basco. Outside of the office, she loves to travel, hike, ski, play tennis, read, and catch live music whenever she can. Most of all, Dr. Basco enjoys spending time with her husband and her three kids.
