If you have Medicare insurance, we currently cannot provide telehealth visits from your home (This does not apply to patients with Medicare Advantage plans). Your clinic will change any upcoming Medicare telehealth visits to be in-person visits.
Congress allowed the temporary telehealth flexibilities for Medicare patients to expire on September 30, 2025 returning telehealth rules back to pre-pandemic restrictions.
As of October 1, 2025, the only way we can provide a Medicare patient a telehealth visit is if you are in a medical office or facility located in a rural area (in the US).
The only exception are:
- Monthly End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) visits for home dialysis
- Services for diagnosis, evaluation, or treatment of symptoms of an acute stroke wherever you are, including in a mobile stroke unit
- Services for the diagnosis, evaluation, or treatment of a mental and/or behavioral health disorder (including a substance use disorder) in your home
We encourage you to reach out to your representatives to ask them to vote to permanently extend the telehealth flexibility rules.
