Boost Oregon: Funding to support Motivational Interviewing training in the Portland Metro area through in-person and virtual workshops serving healthcare providers and CHWs in Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties.
Mission: To equip healthcare providers and community health workers with evidence-based communication skills that build trust, reduce vaccine hesitancy, and improve health outcomes with a deep commitment to reaching underserved and multilingual communities.
Boost Oregon works to reduce vaccine hesitancy by training healthcare providers, public health teams, and community health workers in Motivational Interviewing, helping them to be trusted messengers, address concerns with respect, and improve preventive health conversations in multilingual and underserved communities.
Borland Free Clinic: Funding to offset costs for a Certified Community Health Worker (CHW) staff member who assists patients with language interpretation, understanding medical instructions, scheduling, and connecting to community resources.
Mission: To bring hope and healing to vulnerable people in our community as an expression of Christ’s love.
Borland Free Clinic provides essential safety-net health care services to uninsured and underinsured individuals in the community, offering compassionate, no-cost healthcare to those who might otherwise lack access to medical treatment.
David’s Harp: Funding to sustain daily support for members; transportation to and from programming and continuation of weekly community outings.
Mission: To provide a friendly and peer-supportive environment in which adults with a major mental illness come together to achieve an improved quality of life and the highest possible level of independence in the community.
David’s Harp provides a community-based and non-institutional environment for adults in East Portland living with major mental illness. Their core programs promote social inclusion, reduce isolation, and support independence for over 60 low-income members from historically underserved communities annually.
MIKE Program: Funding to grow Mentored Health Education and Healthcare Career Exploration programs.
Mission: To educate and mentor underserved students to lead healthy lives personally, in their school community and beyond.
MIKE Program provides mentored health education and healthcare career exploration for underserved youth, connecting students with caring mentors and relevant health curriculum to build knowledge, confidence, and pathways toward healthier futures.
Rebuilding Together: Funding to improve accessibility for homeowners like repairing steps, ramps, and floors.
Mission: To provide “a safe and healthy home for everyone” through critical safety and livability repairs that enable homeowners to remain in their homes and extend the home’s useful life.
Rebuilding Together works to provide safe and healthy homes for low-income homeowners by partnering with licensed contractors to remedy the issue at no cost to the homeowner. The needs vary from repairs to steps and ramps, to more involved tasks like HVAC installation and roof rebuilds. Over 34 years, they have repaired more than 1,700 homes with the help of 35,000 volunteers.
Safety Compass: Funding to support a 24/7 Emergency Response Team and North Star Reception Center, ensuring immediate, trauma-informed care for survivors.
Mission: To support survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking while navigating the criminal and social justice systems.
Safety Compass offers survivor-centered, confidential advocacy and crisis response for young people impacted by commercial sexual exploitation and human trafficking in Northwest Oregon, providing 24/7 support, resource navigation, and a pathway toward safety, stability, and healing.
The Jeremy Wilson Foundation: Funding to sustain navigator staffing and Music Makers Support Group.
Mission: To provide support to musicians and music industry workers as they navigate health-related challenges.
Jeremy Wilson Foundation provides a critical safety net for musicians and music industry workers facing serious health conditions and the resulting loss of income through small grants and navigation services to help musicians access local, state, and federal resources for health and basic living needs.
Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm: Funding to support K-12 Education programming for the 2026/2027 school year.
Mission: To advance individual, community and environmental health in East Multnomah and Clackamas Counties by providing healthy, locally grown produce, access to land, educational programs and community-led events.
Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm advances community health through regenerative farming, food access, and hands-on education, offering field trips, workshops, volunteer opportunities, and produce programs that help local families connect with healthy seasonal food and sustainable food systems.
