The Oregon Clinic recently became aware of a lawsuit alleging a medical error at a Kaiser Permanente facility involving Dr. Colin Mizuo, a physician who is also employed by The Oregon Clinic. Beginning January 1, 2026 Dr. Mizuo was employed by The Oregon Clinic while also completing the last few months of his temporary contract with Kaiser Permanente. The Oregon Clinic was saddened to learn what had taken place at Kaiser Permanente.
We want to acknowledge that there are two sides to every story and not all information is publicly available. The incident, as reported, does not reflect the standards of The Oregon Clinic or our commitment to high-quality protocols in our procedure rooms. We are reviewing our protocols to make sure that something like the alleged incident could not happen at The Oregon Clinic. The health and safety of our patients is our highest priority, and we are committed to providing exceptional care to every patient we see.
