Megan West has often witnessed the deep connection between gastrointestinal function and an individual’s overall wellbeing and quality of life. Gastroenterology is an exciting area of medicine where she can work closely with patients to improve symptoms and positively impact health outcomes.  

Megan loves to build strong, long-term connections with patients. She provides preventive care to reduce the risks of future illnesses and works collaboratively to treat her patients’ gastrointestinal conditions. Knowing the significant impact these conditions can have on a person’s quality of life, Megan considers it is an honor to apply her knowledge and compassionate commitment to each individual in the service of improved well-being.   

As a Portland resident since 2001, Megan would not want to live anywhere else. She appreciates the area’s beautiful parks, frequent community events, variety of delicious food, and easy accessibility to nature. When not working, Megan enjoys walking her newly adopted dog Calvin, riding bikes with her family, practicing yoga, singing, watching movies, visiting the ocean, and spending time with her children.
