About Me
Ask any medical care provider why they chose their career and they will inevitably say that they have always wanted to help people. Providing medical care can be very challenging for a variety of reasons but, at the end of the day, knowing that you’ve been able to make a positive change in someone’s life is the ultimate reward.
Christina Thompson worked at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a senior research technician when she first got a glimpse of what role physician assistants played in providing quality medical care. This inspired her to obtain her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree in Boston at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She then worked for three years as a hospitalist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s Columbia campus in her hometown of New York City. Here she picked up her interest in the field of gastroenterology which led her to joining The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology East.
In her free time, Ms. Thompson enjoys reading, hiking and trying all of Portland’s amazing restaurants.
