ADVANCED PROCEDURES

  • Bronchial Thermoplasty: For patients with moderate-severe persistent asthma not controlled with optimization of medical therapy, bronchial thermoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure that has been proven to decrease the frequency of severe exacerbations, emergency department visits, and hospitalizations for asthma.
  • Bronchoscopic Lung Volume Reduction (BLVR) with Zephyr Valves: For symptomatic patients with emphysema and significant hyperinflation, the recently FDA-approved Zephyr valves can be used to induce collapse of an emphysematous lobe to achieve volume reduction and improvement in lung function, exercise capacity, and quality of life.
