Ortho | Distal Biceps Repair

Distal Biceps Repair is a surgical option to treat injuries to the tendon that connects our forearm muscle to the elbow. Distal biceps injuries are often caused by heavy lifting, wear and tear from overuse, or acute injury to the tendon.

Dr. Aaron Schwartz uses a tension slide technique combined with Arthrex’s Distal BicepsButton™ to complete a strong repair through a single, small incision. This technique may allow for early range of motion during the recovery period.

Dr. Schwartz recommends this video, shared courtesy of medical device company Arthrex, to help patients understand and prepare for this treatment option.
