Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD)

Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) occurs when auditory centers of the brain are affected by disease. CAPD involves auditory processing, sound localization and the auditory system's ability to deal with degraded and competing signals. CAPD does not necessarily involve a hearing loss. CAPD is often associated with Attention Deficit related disorders.
