Stephen Bader, MD
About Me
My first responsibility as an oncologist is to teach a patient and their family about their diagnosis of cancer, the natural history of the disease, how it is treated, and the role of radiotherapy in their disease process. I explain how my treatment team will provide them not only first rate care, but also the compassion and support that all cancer patients deserve.
Dr. Bader graduated from the University of Washington and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the New England Deaconess Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He later finished his fellowship and became Chief Resident for the Joint Center for Radiation Therapy at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bader is a member of several organizations, including the American Society for Clinical Oncology, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiation Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society. Dr. Bader is also the former Medical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Providence Health System and the Gamma Knife Center of Oregon. Dr. Bader focuses on breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck malignancies and other radiation oncology needs at The Oregon Clinic Radiation Oncology.
