Maya Strom, FNP-C, DNP
I believe all women should have the opportunity to receive healthcare in a safe and non-judgmental environment. My passion is to provide this care through all stages of their life.
Maya’s passion for women’s health began while in the Peace Corps in Vanuatu, South Pacific. After returning home, she attended nursing school at OHSU, then worked as a RN in labor and delivery for several years while continuing her education.
After Maya earned her doctorate degree in nursing from the University of Portland, she spent the first few years of her career working as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a primary care setting with a focus on underserved populations. During that time, Maya worked as a primary care provider and also remained focused in providing care to underserved women. She developed and ran a program that provided free breast and cervical cancer screening services to women without insurance.
Maya loves to knit, cook, hike, travel and spend time with her husband and 2 daughters.
