About Me
For me the purpose of audiology is to improve an individual's ability to communicate with their loved ones. The impact of hearing loss is often unknown by the wider community, and it's my goal to help educate patients on the nature of their hearing loss and empower them to enhance their communication outcomes.
While in college, Katie was pursuing an education in communication disorders when she took an introductory course for Audiology, and it was an instant spark of interest. She fell in love with the subject immediately and knew she needed to have a career in audiology.
What Katie loves the most about audiology is providing knowledge to patients on their hearing health and how hearing loss may be impacting their lives. Additionally, Katie loves to provide therapeutic interventions for hearing loss through hearing aids.
Katie enjoys living in Portland because it offers access to beautiful natural resources and a fantastic foodie scene.
When not working, Katie loves exploring the outdoors with her husband and son through hiking and biking. She also loves trying out new restaurants and food pods.
