“Providing excellent care for the patient includes the best surgical care and supporting the whole patient experience including emotional, social and spiritual aspects. Collaboration with the patient’s whole health care team makes this possible.”

Dr. Andrew Cramer joined Surgical Specialists South in 1992 after completing his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, then medical school and surgical residency at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Cramer also spent one year in a cancer research fellowship focusing on breast and endocrine cancers.

Dr. Cramer enjoys the diversity of his specialty and the opportunity to make a positive, lasting impact on the health and wellbeing of his patients. He has a broad background in surgical care including extensive experience with colon and breast surgery, laparoscopic techniques, and hernia repairs.

As a lifelong Oregonian, Dr. Cramer enjoys exploring the local food scene and all the beauty, recreation, and cultural diversity Portland has to offer. Outside of work, you can find him cycling, cooking, and reading.
