Overview
It’s normal to have questions about human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is very common, and in some cases, it can lead to serious problems. The Oregon Clinic Obstetricians & Gynecologists provide a full range of health services to help prevent and treat HPV.
PAP SMEARS
A pap smear is a screening test used to detect abnormal cells of the cervix. If abnormal, the clinician will follow up with an individualized care plan.
DIAGNOSING HPV
HPV is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI). HPV is spread by skin to skin contact during vaginal, anal or oral sex. In the majority of people, it is often harmless and goes away by itself.
HPV VACCINATION
The HPV vaccine is FDA-approved and significantly reduces the risk of developing HPV-related cancers and diseases.
STI PREVENTION & TREATMENT
We offer sex education and sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening and treatment for patients and their partners.
