Dr. Douglas Walta received the Exceptional Service Award presented by Providence Portland Medical Center Staff. The award is given annually to an individual who has served at least 15 years as a member of the Professional Staff of Providence Portland Medical Center and who demonstrates a commitment to the goals and mission of the hospital and Professional Staff, which exceeds that of the average practitioner.
 
Twenty-seven (27) Oregon Clinic physicians were included in the Portland Monthly's guide to the "Top Docs '08." These individuals were chosen by fellow physicians in the Portland area.

Dr. Lee Swanstrom, director of Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Performs New Incisionless Procedure to Treat Weight Re-gain After Gastric Bypass.
 
Dr. Douglas Dawley participated in a clinical trial which compared Prasugrel to Clopidogrel in patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome. The study was recently published in The New England Journal of Medicine.
