At The Oregon Clinic, Gastrointestinal and Minimally Invasive Surgery division, our general surgeons are specialists in minimally invasive surgery (MIS). MIS uses laparoscopic (video) techniques, which involve smaller incisions than other types of surgery. So for you or your family member, MIS results in a shorter hospital stay, less pain, faster healing and, ultimately, a quicker return to an active, healthy lifestyle.
Our surgeons apply laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques to all of general surgery including hernia, gallbladder, adrenal, spleen, and others. They are also national experts in treatments of esophageal and gastric diseases, liver and pancreas disorders and colorectal disease. All of our surgeons are specialists in gastrointestinal cancers and participate in national cancer studies.
